I remember when you posted about this remake when it was just in start-up and commented on what they would do with the plot. Since you didn't toot your own horn, I'll do it, for you: good call on the whole "Freddy might not actually have done it" theme.
But yeah, as soon as one realizes what Platinum Dunes is, everyone should know better.

Funny aside: Haley was originally up for a role as one of the teenagers in the original movie and his friend Johnny Depp was giving him a ride. So, yeah, Johnny Depp got his start in movies, accidentally, because he had a car.

I feel the exact same way about how platinum dunes remakes always have one good/interesting idea that in the end goes to hell with the rest of the movie. And to be honest in the end it makes me hate the movie that much more.

I am an optimistic fool, if only that I was hoping after failing at it so many times, Platinum Dunes could have learned from their previously destroyed titles.

Aw well, thanks for the warning Bob. Sucks to know that another one of my beloved classic modern-horror titles has been carved up worse than a jig-saw victim.

Damn dude, you seem to hate anything that doesn't have to do with Nintendo or Super Hero's. I hope you realize your gonna be doing this exact same review for the Avengers movie..... its gonna blow.

Yeah, let's not have bay do halo. It already has enough people who know nothing about it dissing it, lord knows how bad it would be if one started making it.

Since you like Haley so much, have you been watching "Human Target"?

They gave him a nice character in Guerrero...

I think I'd actually go see a Halo movie made by Bay. All his favorite things are there, how can he fuck it up? It's the kind of subject matter where the only way it could be any kind of "good" is if someone when bananas on it.
