innevitable

The moment Summit decided it was going to bite the bullet and release Jodie Foster's "The Beaver" - aka "The Mel Gibson Unlikely Comeback Vehicle," it was all but innevitable that folks would do THIS to it's trailer...

...which doesn't make it any less hysterical. Well done.

(Watch the real trailer HERE for comparison.)

well as stupid as this movie looks, I hope this helps jump start his career again.
Regardless of his personal problems (which we all have mind you) the man is a talented actor/director.
Before everyone jumps all over me for defending "the bad man" let me just say this, I do not condone or support his racist comments nor his domestic abuse allegations.
I just think everyone deserves a second chance.

Oh God, oh man, I am in absolute tears after watching that. If only there was a way to include Christian Bale in that trailer too. Maybe a sequel! That's for brightening my day up, Bob.

@akkuma and you are under the impression that this is only his second chance?

The second chance was AFTER his first infamous rant...the one where he claimed the jews started all the wars. While driving drunk.

This would be his third chance. Assuming you count racism, misogyny and verbal and physical spousal abuse as all one thing. At some point you cut a person loose loose. I'd say that point occurred sometime between the drunk driving and the face punching.

I'll never get this mentality that we can forgive a person's various crimes and personality defects as long as they were popular in the 80s.

Awn man... Jodie Foster.... ugh...
The Beaver seems funny though...

Mel Gibson... is an asshole. But he knows how to do his job

@Dave
Nah, I'm under the impression that his problems are none of our business...
Everyone is guilty of doing/saying something they aren't proud of, he just got caught with his foot in his mouth.
No one is perfect, not even actors believe it or not.
But you know what, whatever..... to each there own.
I'm not here to try and convince you otherwise, your allowed to have your opinion.

Wait.. I am still stuck on the notion that there is a real movie .. out there...featuring .. Mel Gibson... AND Jodie Foster.. with.. a Beaver Puppet. I need to digest that first... let´s comment later.

To each his own is correct.

For me I will have trouble paying any money that will go toward that man. I know I'm not condemning him to poverty by my actions, but where does his surplus money go? what monetary contributions does he make and to what organizations? I actually don't know.

To be safe, I will not pay money to him, so that I do not have to know.

I just can't believe I'm the first immature person to point out the name of the film
Bahahaha
Also, personal issues aside, Mel Gibson is a fantastic actor. You just sort of want people that are great at their jobs to be great people too; unfortunately, that is usually not the case. We are all flawed--some more than others, lol.

We're all a tad bit racist. He's a bit too much of one. But that's not my business, nor is anything he's alleged of doing.

People raise too much stink over "racism". Especially when his comments shouldn't be classified as racism... Last time I checked Judaism isn't a racial specification...

That trailer though... LOL

I think the "raped by a pack of [n-words]" part was racist, no?

Gamecase said...

Yeah. Yeah, that part was kind of racist. I like to think that since he's Australian, he doesn't mean what he says the way it sounds, but i know that is lying to myself in case the man ever decides to make another Mad Max. Maybe in 3D.
