The Enemy of My Enemy

As if anyone needed ANOTHER reason to get behind the Detroit Robocop Statue project, here's another: Right-Wing douchebag Warner Todd Huston; one of Andrew Breitbart's professional trolls, is against it.

Donations to detroitneedsrobocop can be made HERE. The statue itself has already been funded, but the group behind the movement has pledged to keep the campaign going until it's original March 26th end date and expand their scope to include other Detroit-oriented charities.

I'm sorry I tried really hard to understand this Warner Todd Huston guys point of view. But he makes no sense at all. He is obviously out of his mind and should seek professional help.

My-nonexistant-God! this guy is a douche. If Liberals supported the building of a John McClane statue in Los Angeles, he'd call Bruce Willis the Anti-Christ. Robocop is as Anti-American as James Bond is Anti-British. And even as a non-believer, I find his shitty arguement that Robocop is "Anti-Christian because the Director said that he was a metaphor for how Americans represent Jesus" to be total bull. (The Anti-Christian part, not the Director's bit. I actually find that part interesting.) The Right can be so damned Stupid!!!

So basically, the additional reason you're giving us to help the cause of building a Robocop statue is out of spite for a politician?

Well, whatever, it's not like I have money to spare either way, but I support the Robocop statue all the way.

So basically, Huston is saying that the story of a dedicated public servant and family man overcoming prejudice, corporate corruption, brainwashing and death itself in order to continue to protect his city is Anti-Christian and Anti-American? Do these people ever even WATCH the stuff they pile ignorance and hate on?

Blah blah, anti-God, anti-America, anti-this, anti-that, Reagan is Superman, Hollywood turns your kids into gay commies, yaawwwwn. Right-wing rage is so tiresome. But I do like how they can write article after article screaming and raging about "liberals", and then turn around and say "those liberals are always insulting us AMIRITE?", without even a hint of irony.

In the name of Black Jesus, this is tripe. Both this guy AND the guy who made Robocop are putting too much allegory into a damn movie about a robot cop shooting the shit out of everything that moves.

Robocop was many things. An allegory for Jesus? Not hardly. Cops are killed every day doing their job, gunned down by men who deserve the gas chamber. Jesus? Anti-Capitalism? Really? Someone thought way too much of themselves here, on both ends of the argument.
