There's a really good documentary called "Easy Riders and Raging Bulls" that covers Hollywood in the late 60's through the 70's.
I'm excited! I dunno what part of me thought this'd only be a two-parter.
That was so well presented and interesting I couldn't believe 5 minutes had passed! [that's a compliment, believe it or not]
So, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppolla, Mike Nichols, Stanley Kubrick, Arthur Penn, et al were geeks? Oh, you're going to skip straight to Spielburg / Lucas aren't you? :-(
I always thought that the New Hollywood era began with the release of Bonnie and Clyde in 1967.
