Post-Movie Podcast (Again)

This is going up a little late, but worth a listen none the less. I sat in for John Black on The Post-Movie Podcast with Steve Head, the subject being year-end top-ten lists. This is part 1 of 2. ENJOY!

Wow, I enjoyed that very much. Thanks! But Chrome is telling me that the official site is plagued with viruses? Yikes. Anyway, hoping to hear Part 2 soon.

Nice!
Can't wait for part 2.
Hey are you also gonna guest in their "Worst of 2011" list?

Incidentally, Placing Sucker Punch and Drive Angry on a Year's best list...
I like the way this Steve Head thinks. I may need to check out more of his stuff.

@Dominic: Why isn't Google Chrome telling me that?

OK, so Sucker Punch wasn't really a female empowerment movie so much as an indictment of male gaze and "strong female characters"? I finally know why it didn't work for me! Thanks, guys. (The action/music video sequences were awesome, though.)

You're mistaken Bob. People didn't see Suckerpunch because it makes fun of them for leering at women. They didn't see it because its fucking awful.

Also, if the movie's message was to "Stop degrading women" then why is it that the only way women can fight their oppressers is by using their sexuality. Christ, the main character of the film literally uses a sexy dance to distract the male characters in this film. That is not empowerment.

Bob, you repeated the "Sucker Punch is about males objectifying women." Like five times to this guy in a couple minutes.
I'm pretty sure he started to get pissed off at you.

But I did like Hanna.

@Dominic

So I see I'm not the only one who's noticed the malware problems at post-movie.net. I just got a nasty infection from visiting the site this morning.
