Men In Bluh

"Men In Black 3," possibly the least-demanded threequel since "Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles," has a newer, longer, plot-explainier trailer. Will Smith (who should really have better things to do with his time) time-travels back to the 60s to partner with Josh Brolin as the younger version of Tommy Lee Jones (who does have better things to do with his time, hence the time-travel storyline.)

Ah hah hah hah hah hah! A notably-unusual famous person is actually part of the MIB/Alien-Coverup scene! That bit NEVER gets old, amirite?

You at least have to admit that casting Brolin as a young Tommy Lee was a great choice.

You've still yet to give me a reason to not want to see this Bob. :/

I dunno Bob, this looks pretty fun. Ok, so it won't be high art but it seems like it could be a decent popcorn flick and inoffensive enough.

@QSKSw I have to agree with that -- sure, II was terrible, but this movie looks to be quite a bit more interesting. I haven't quite watched this trailer yet, but the first one actually made me want to see it when before I was thinking "Do I really want to see a great movie ruined again?"

The 90's cartoon was the best incarnation of this franchise, bar none. if they revive it, THEN was can talk. Otherwise, meh,

@ Uncle

I agree, but only up until the part where the entire cast got flanderized and the wormd took over the show. But those first few seasons were pretty awesome.

Sony animation had some pretty good luck with adapting moveis into superior tv shows.

Call me superficial, but I adored MIB and wasn't too disappointed with MIIB either. So yes, I'm looking forward to this one. Thanks for the heads-up, Bob :-)

I loved the first MIB movie, the 2nd one was okay, but this 3rd one looks like it might be a bit more fun. I'm with Angry Man. Josh Brolin definitely was a great casting choice for a younger Tommy Lee Jones. He's even got Jones' speaking cadences down pat, so color me interested. Also, major props for having Emma Thompson in it. She's an awesome woman. :)

After MIIB I just don't care. Seriously, WHO was asking for this? It's literally been TEN YEARS since the last one and that didn't fly over so well. This probably won't be a flop so much as a resounding "meh"

If they really wanted to blow my mind bring Agent A into the new movie.

Agent A of course being K's first partner a man who help build MIB only to turn evil and start splicing his body with alien parts.

Damn. Will Smith is looking old.

Y'know I didn't hate the 2nd movie, sure it wasn't as good as the 1st, shoving in all the secondary aliens from the 1rst got annoying, but I loved how the villain was essentially a "Worm that Walks" from space wearing Lara Flynn Boyle's skin LOL!
And this looks even better IMHO, so I don't know why you're so bent otta shape over it Bob, but then I'm beginning to wonder if you just have a problem with Will Smith or something...

Ok, the movie looks alright. But, a personal gripe. Did they have to have the "I'm from the future and my slang doesn't make sense" joke in there? Will Smith saying "Shiznit" sounds forced. I hope it's a one off deal.

I'm hoping this was made primarily with stuff that ended up on the cutting room floor.

I actually never saw the original Men in Black... At least not the whole thing, just bits and parts of it. I DID see MIB 2, and I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel.

After all, I watched the animated TV series on a regular basis as a kid, and I liked it. Kind of wished it had some closure, in some regards, though.

Bob, gonna say it. when it comes to movies, thus far I've agreed %100. But... I dunno, there's just a LOT worse movies out there to hate, and while this one doesn't look great, it's not exactly terrible either. I never even really liked any of the MIB movies, bur I just think you're wasting way too much hate on this that other current movies deserve much more. Just sayin'.
