In Which I Return To The "Post-Movie Podcast"

Boston-area film criticism mainstays Steve Head and John Black graciously invited me back to their "Post Movie Podcast" show (which you should ALL totally be downloading and "liking" on iTunes HERE) to talk "Wrath of The Titans," "Mirror Mirror," "The Raid" and other sundry things. In reference to criticism of Hollywood's blind faith to the Joseph Campbell model: ever think about writing a movie script? You clearly have a good perception of why most of these movies flat-out don't work, so all you'd have to do is assemble the other thousand elements into a coherent narrative. I'm thinking you'd make a decent superhero satire ala Kick-Ass or Super. You'd just have to reverse all the bad habits you seem to have developed from The Game Overthinker, but something tells me that show is trying too hard to fit in with Angry Video Game Nerd et al.

Luke did "refuse the call" Bob, until Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru were burnt to a crisp one scene later...

But, alas, Joseph Campbell's monomyth is sadly ubiquitous at this point.

The most important thing to come out of this is going to be the Big Picture Episode on professional wrestling!

These ones are always so much fun, I wish you were a regular on this show Bob. I mean I love your usual stuff, but it's usually too short. Having you rant and going on and on about nerdy stuff is the most fun I've had with your material ever, good one!
